William Chatsala joined Indebank in November 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) degree from University of Malawi, a Diploma in Financial Services Management (CIB-UK) and a Master of Business Administration Degree in Banking Management from the University of Exeter (UK). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK), and has vast commercial banking experience having worked in several countries in the region.
George Namandwa joined Indebank in October 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) degree from the University of Malawi and he is a Chartered Management Accountant. Prior to joining Indebank he worked for Standard Bank Malawi as Chief Accountant.
Head of Administration and Operations- David Ernest Sichone
David Ernest Sichone joined Indebank in January 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from the University of Malawi, an Associate Banking Diploma, a Certificate in Law and a Master of Business Administration degree. Prior to joining Indebank he held various positions at National Bank and he has 22 years working experience in banking.
Emily Makuta joined Indebank in 1994. She is a lawyer by profession having obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree from the University of Malawi. She is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK) and holds an International Diploma in Compliance from the Manchester Business School and International Compliance Association. She also holds a Masters Degree in International Economic Law obtained from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. She worked with two legal firms before joining the indebank.
Lissa Machinjiri joined Indebank in August 2005. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accountancy and is also a Chartered Accountant. She worked with Standard Bank from 1998 – 2002 as Internal Auditor and from 2003 – 2005 as a Senior Internal Auditor.
Welkam Phiri joined Indebank in May 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the University of Malawi and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Prior to joining indebank he worked with Standard Bank where he worked as an Account Executive.
Head of Credit - James Chibisa
James Chibisa joined Indebank in December 2009. He holds Bachelor of Arts (Public Administration) from the University of Malawi, an Associate Diploma in Banking and a Master of Business Administration. He has previously worked with Standard Bank for 12 years.
Head of Treasury (Acting on Designation)–Ulemu Kamwangala
Ulemu Kamwangala joined Indebank in April 2004. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree and from the University of Malawi. She previously worked for Nedbank and Continental Discount House Ltd.
Head of Human Resources - Michael Ndaferankhande
Michael Ndaferankhande joined Indebank in April 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Masters Degree in Arts (Economics) from the University of Malawi. He has previously worked with Illovo Sugar Group from 2000 to 2005. He also worked with Standard Bank as HR Consultant.
Head of Information Technology - Peter Munthali
Peter Munthali joined Indebank in June 2003 and has risen through the ranks in the IT department to his present role. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Malawi and a Master of Science degree in Advanced Computer Science from the University of East Anglia (UK), both with distinction.
Head of Retail and SME Banking - Howard Bowa
Howard Bowa joined indebank in March 2011. He holds a diploma in Business Studies and Bachelor of Commerce in Business Administration from the University of Malawi. He is currently an MBA student at the University of Malawi. He has previously worked for NBS Bank (New Building Society then), Project HOPE and National Bank of Malawi. He has 20 years experience in lending and customer service..
