Saulos Chilima – BSOC/MA (Economics)

Saulos Chilima is the current Managing Director of Airtel Malawi. He holds a Master of Economics Degree. He serves on the Airtel Malawi board since August 2009. He also serves on the boards of Indebank and Momentum Health.He started his career in telecommunications as Sales Director in Zain Malawi (now Airtel Malawi) in September 2006 during which the company was awarded “OPCO of the Year 2008” as well as “Initiative of the Year” with the Quick Refill Centers (QRC) concept.Prior to joining Airtel, Saulos had 8 years of FMCG experience from Unilever Malawi and Southern Bottlers Limited (Coca Cola and Carlsberg bottler) where he started his career working in various commercial roles. He also has 4 years experience in Leasing having worked for the Leasing and Finance Company(LFC) in Malawi.

Charles January Matabwa - (PhD)

Dr Charles J Matabwa is the Chief Executive for Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC).  He holds a Bachelors degree in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba Canada, a Master of Science degree from University of Reading in England, a Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture and Soil Science from the University of Reading, England.  Prior to joining ADMARC in April 2006, he served as Director of Research and Technical Services, Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet.
Ester Chioko  - MBA/Dip. Bus. Studies

Mrs. Chioko has a Diploma in Business Studies and a Masters in Business Administration. She has held Chief Executive positions for the Small Enterprise Development Organisation of Malawi and Air Malawi. She has also served as a Director on the Board of a number of reputable companies in Malawi. .
Foster Chataika Mulumbe - B.Com/ACCA

Mr Foster Mulumbe is the Financial Controller for Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Malawi and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants.

Dorothy Banda - B.Com/ACCA

Mrs. Dorothy Banda has worked in various Accounting positions in the Ministry of Agriculture and the Accountant General’s Department between 1986 and 1999. From 1999 to 2008, she worked in the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance and rose to the position of Budget Director in 2004. She was part of a Team that worked towards resuscitating donor confidence through implementing a closely monitored International Monetary Fund’s Staff Monitored Program; the program resulted in the achievement t of the Highly Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Debt Relief in 2006. She rose to the position of Principal Secretary in January 2008 when she was appointed Malawi Government’s First Female Account General. Mrs. Banda has served in various Parastatals and State owned Institution Boards as an Ex Official member.

Mr Tony Kandiero - M.Phil (Management Studies)

Mr Tony Kandiero has served Malawi in various capacities including broadcaster, administrator and diplomat. He spent 23 years in the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation, which he led between 1980 and 1988, prior to being appointed Malawi High Commissioner to Zimbabwe.  In 1990, he was moved to London where he served as Malawi’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom as well as Ambassador to the United States of America in 2000.  He was also Ambassador on a non-residential basis to Argentina, Brazil Colombia and Mexico. Mr Kandiero has served on many Boards and is currently a trustee of Press Trust and the Bingu Silvergrey Foundation for the Elderly.

Isaac K Nsamala, Chairman – ACIB(UK), DMS

Mr. Isaac Nsamala is a retired Banker who worked for National Bank of Malawi, Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays Bank for a total of 35 years. He was the first Malawian to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of National Bank of Malawi. Apart from being Chairman of the Indebank Board of Directors, he serves on various other Boards. He currently has several business interests in Malawi.
